Casting Information

Synopsis:
“No Ordinary Soldier” is a non-union, independent documentary film that follows an actual soldier’s story during WWII between 1943-45. Actors will be recreating scenes from the story. Here’s additional information about the film.

This project will be self-published and submitted for festivals.

Production location: Studio in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, - locations in Chester County PA.

Director: Clarke Green

Shooting Locations: Kennett Square area

Compensation: All roles are paid

Shooting dates: November 2018- February 2019 - estimated days specified in role descriptions.

Shooting schedules are flexible to suit talent schedule.

Location days for riflemen and Charlie are weather dependent, will give minimum three to five days notice.


Submission Instructions

Because the roles are recreations of actual people the specifications as to race, height, weight, and build are important. Submissions that do not meet these criteria will be rejected.

Roles

CHARLIE [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 18-20]

Infantry Rifleman, Caucasian, full head of lighter brown to black hair, 5’ 6” to 6’+ tall, 160 pounds, slim build. 

Physically fit – running, jumping, crawling. Some exterior scenes in cold, harsh conditions

The role is non-speaking for reenactment scenes, but may include voiceover recording if suitable to the role.

2-5 studio days, 2-5 location days


INFANTRY RIFLEMEN 1 and 2 [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 18-25]

Infantry Rifleman, Caucasian, slim to medium build. 

Physically fit – running, jumping, crawling. Some exterior scenes in cold, harsh conditions

These roles are non-speaking.

2-3 studio days, 2-3 location days


LIEUTENANT DICKERSON [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 30-35]

Infantry Officer, Caucasian, 5’ 6” to 6’+, blond to light brown hair, can be thinning, slim to medium build.

Studio and possible location filming.

The role is non-speaking for reenactment scenes, but may include voiceover recording if suitable to the role.

1-2 studio days, 1-2 possible location days.


CHARLIE at 75 [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 65-80]

Caucasian, 5’ 6” to 6’+ tall, 160-170 pounds, medium build. Mostly bald with some grey hair.

Studio and possible location filming.

The role is non-speaking for reenactment scenes, but may include voiceover recording if suitable to the role.
